Overview
Main details on the cycle challenge

  • Date: Sunday, 3rd June 2018
  • Distance: 60 miles or 25 miles, dependent on ride selected
  • Charity: In aid of testicular cancer

The Chris Jewkes Fitness Cycle challenge will take riders on a choice of two fully sign posted routes from Tettenhall to Shropshire's beautiful Ironbridge Gorge, which contrasts natural beauty with industrial heritage, taking in the beautiful scenery on route for the 60 mile and 25 mile challenge.

Predominantly along country roads, taking in some spectacular views, and perhaps the odd challenging hill!

The Event HQ for this sportive is Chris Jewkes Fitness, Danescourt Road, Tettenhall, WV69BQ and provides the event with excellent facilities such as toilets, changing rooms and car parking.

The Chris Jewkes Fitness Cycle challenge is predominantly ‘country lane’ sportive, as we try to keep riders away from busy main roads and use country lanes wherever possible for your added enjoyment and safety.

We will always try and use good quality tarmaced lanes but riders should appreciate that the event is a non-competitive sportive and so is not a race, therefore speed is not of the essence and riders should come prepared to ride within their own capabilities and be aware of the inherent risks of riding on such country lanes; blind bends, oncoming traffic, tractors, standing water, uneven surfaces, livestock, mud, pot holes etc. etc…..

Places for this event will be in high demand and so make sure to book yourself a place early to ensure that you will experience a day of great scenery, challenging roads and a very fun and friendly atmosphere combined with post event medals, refreshments, DJ, Beer tent and much more!
